Category: Year 2 – St Teresa of Calcutta

The week has flown by but the class have coped very well and got straight back into the thick of things! We’re very pleased to welcome Mrs Bryant who is in on Monday and Tuesday with Mr King for the rest of the week as normal.

Science was particularly fun this week as we experimented with how exercise affects our body. We also celebrated two more children turning 7 🙂

Year 2 were very generous with their donations today, thank you very much 🙂

This week we finished off our topic ‘What are we remembering on Remembrance Day?’ We had some fantastic posters from home and the children have really enjoyed learning about this topic and sharing their own stories and experiences. Today we leaned about the Jewish religion and had our own Judaism workshop where we found out about Shabbat celebrations and made our own Shabbat candles.  In maths we have been learning about multiplication through arrays and repeated addition while in English we continue to learn about writing instructions. We also had a slightly belated birthday!
