We have reached the end of a very busy half-term. Its been a great start to the year. The children have all settled into the class very well and we have already made great progress. These are a few snaps of this afternoon in choosing time. Lego and the writing area the being the hot-spots!

Science

We have been exploring our senses and using them to investigate and gather data.

Week 6th October 2023

We are looking at the work of artist Vincent Van Gogh. Here are some of our artworks.

We have also been comparing number and learning how to record “greater than”, “fewer than” and “equal too” using symbols.

September 22nd

In PE we have been learning how to make shapes with our bodies and to move in different ways.

In Maths we have been learning how to find one more and one less.

Fathers Day

This week we celebrated Fathers Day and made cards!

We also completed the Phonics screen check. Not only did some of the children do exceptionally well but everyone was very focused and and tried their best.

Architects, Readers and Thespians

We have been learning all about “Iggy Peck Architect” this week. We have learnt that a whole can be split into two equal halves. On Friday we were very excited to take part in a drama workshop.

We have been practising reading alien words and words with the split digraph or “magic “e””.
