Royal Albert Hall Concert
Please see below the song words from Mrs Goldsmith for the Royal Albert Hall concert. Children have started learning these songs in school, but should continue to practise them at home. At the bottom of the final page, you will find a link to a website where the background music can be found.
Y2 this week
The week has flown by but the class have coped very well and got straight back into the thick of things! We’re very pleased to welcome Mrs Bryant who is in on Monday and Tuesday with Mr King for the rest of the week as normal.
Science was particularly fun this week as we experimented with how exercise affects our body. We also celebrated two more children turning 7 🙂

I would like to say, ‘Thank you,’ to the parents and pupils of Year 5 for all the generous gifts.
You are all very kind and I am very grateful. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are enjoying your break.

Y6 Science
As part of our science curriculum in January, we are going to be exploring evolution and inheritance. The children have been asked to bring in pictures from home of their parents and grandparents so that we can make comparisons and look at different features that the children could have inherited. For this, I have asked children to bring in a picture of either parent as a baby/child and a more recent photo of said parent (both parents if possible). If children are able to bring in pictures of grandparents, this would give them the opportunity to take their inheritance even further back.
I have informed children that I am happy for them to bring in the photos before the Christmas holidays and I will keep them in school, or they can bring them in on the first day back: Tuesday 9th January. They must have their pictures for this lesson.
