Hello children, parents and carers,
This week we talked about World Peace and how Jesus wants us to love one another. We wrote a prayer asking God to help people around the world. Our VE day special day was one to remember with everyone dressed in red, white and blue and eating cake. We’ve learnt a special song ” I’ll remember ”.
We made flags and designed medals too:
We very much enjoyed our picnic and the delicious cakes!!!
In Little Wandle we were busy learning to read words like string, strap, scrunch. They proved to be very difficult to segment as you can often miss a sound … We also learnt 4 new tricky words:
In RE we talked about the Holy Spirit and how Jesus kept his promise to send a friend!
The coming of the Holy Spirit can be difficult for young children to understand. We explored such things as air, wind and fire to help explain the power of the Holy Spirit. The children painted their own flames and decorated our RE table!
And finally but not least, congratulations for all your hard work and motivation! You truly deserve the awards, red sash and golden rosette!!!
