This week we were busy making our flags for VE Day. The children chose what they wanted to use; dabby dotters, paint or collage, the flags looked beautiful. The children were very excited and kept asking me all week about having a party on the field, they enjoyed waving their flags and eating their cake. We talked about why we celebrate VE Day and how important it is that we remember the anniversary of the end of the war.
Something else very exciting happened this week! We came in on Tuesday morning to find that that we now had 5 cocoons, so they were moved very carefully into the net.
