Questioning

Questioning is a two-way process. Pupils need to become accustomed to answering higher-level, open-ended questions such as, “Why do you think that?” However, an essential part deeper learning is encouraging students to pose their own questions. Questions allow students to dig deeper, explore, and correct misconceptions. Unfortunately, historically, many students do not feel comfortable asking questions. By being exposed to a questioning culture pupils will develop a curious mindset and develop the skills of, both, posing and answering more complex questions.
