Evaluation

Evaluation: pupils and adults alike need to be able to evaluate or determine a subject’s merit, worth and significance. This could be the outcome of an experiment, a critique of a painting, film or book or the quality of a piece of school work – this can include peer and/or self-evaluation. The process of gathering, analysing and interpreting information, and acting on the results improves the quality of pupils’ own learning outcomes. Critical evaluation of information gathered from internet sources is increasingly important for modern leaners.
