Today is the first day of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 (18th-24th May) and the theme this year is Kindness. Take a look at the video below to learn more about the importance of kindness!
We would like all of St Adrian’s to get involved, so we have attached some activity ideas at the bottom of this post to help you to celebrate this week – if you would like to.
There is a Kindness Calendar which challenges you to be kind twice each day – once to yourself and once to someone else (that is only two acts of kindness a day, we’re sure all of us St Adrian’s are kinder than that!!)
And for our competitive pupils there is a Kindness Cup trophy to design. If everyone in your home takes part in in the Kindness Calendar Challenge you can award your Kindness Cup to the winner!
Finally, if you want to learn a little more about the science behind why kindness matters try the following link: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/campaigns/mental-health-awareness-week/kindness-matters-guide
Take care to be happy and healthy.
